Originally introduced in the early 1990s, the Pochette found a new cultural life when Marc Jacobs took over as Louis Vuitton’s creative director. Reimagined within the world of ready-to-wear and styled on celebrities throughout the 2000s, it became the Y2K bag. Minimal, effortless, and instantly recognizable.
This vintage version is crafted from Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim. The leather strap has developed a warm honey patina with visible wear and darkening consistent with age. Hardware shows gentle oxidation, adding to its vintage charm. The coated canvas remains in excellent shape, and the zipper functions smoothly.
