Gucci Tom Ford Suede Hobo Bag- late 90s
Gucci Tom Ford Suede Hobo Bag- late 90s

A beautifully minimal vintage Gucci hobo in deep chocolate brown suede, finished with tonal leather trims and rounded leather handles.
There is almost no visible branding on this one, which is exactly what makes it so good. The shape does all the work: softly structured sides, a slightly curved zip opening and long leather zip pulls that give it just enough detail without interrupting the clean silhouette.
Styling Tip
This is the kind of bag I would wear with almost everything.
Think grey tailoring and a white T-shirt, dark denim with a fine knit, or a long coat with slim trousers and a pointed shoe.
It is polished enough for work but still relaxed enough to wear every day.
Late 1990s · Tom Ford era
This bag comes from Tom Ford’s time as creative director of Gucci, a period that completely reshaped the image of the house. While his runway collections are remembered for their glamour and sexuality, there was also a much quieter side to the accessories: strong silhouettes, rich materials and very little decoration.
This bag feels very much part of that language. There is no monogram or obvious logo on the outside, just dark suede, leather and a really good shape. It has that understated confidence that makes late-90s Gucci still feel incredibly modern.

Why It Made the Cut
Because this is the other side of Tom Ford Gucci.
No monogram, no statement hardware, no obvious logo. Just chocolate suede, a great shape and really good proportions.
I love how understated it is, especially for Gucci. It feels very late 90s and the deep brown suede makes it even better. It is one of those bags that looks simple at first and then somehow makes everything you wear with it look more considered.
