The Fendi Mamma Baguette is one of the most recognisable evolutions of the original Baguette silhouette. Introduced in the late 1990s and produced heavily in the early 2000s under Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Mamma version was designed as a slightly roomier, more practical interpretation of the original Baguette. Hence the name “Mamma.”

This piece is crafted in the iconic brown Zucca canvas with dark tobacco leather trim and silver-tone FF logo hardware on the front flap. The Zucca monogram was originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1965, but it became globally dominant in the late 1990s and early 2000s when logo dressing defined the era.

The rectangular front FF buckle is typical of early 2000s Mamma Baguettes and reflects the bold hardware trend of that time. The structured but softly padded body, adjustable leather shoulder strap, and secure flap closure make it a highly wearable everyday vintage piece.

The interior is lined in dark fabric with a zip pocket.

Why it made the cut

The Mamma Baguette sits right at the intersection of Y2K revival and long-term collector appeal. It’s more practical than the mini Baguette but still unmistakably Fendi. The Zucca canvas is currently one of the strongest performing logo textiles on the resale market, especially in classic brown. This is the kind of piece that works with tailoring, denim, or a slip dress and doesn’t feel trend-dependent.
