This is early 2000s Fendi at its most playful and textural.
At the time, accessories were led by Silvia Venturini Fendi, who has been responsible for some of the house’s most iconic bags. After the massive success of the Baguette in the late 90s, the early 2000s were about experimenting with texture, colour and surface.
This piece is perforated pony hair leather in a vibrant cobalt blue, layered over a lighter base so the cut outs create depth and contrast. The burgundy leather handle and metal Fendi logo bar add that slightly industrial early 2000s edge.
Styling tip: I would pair this with very clean tailoring or dark denim and a simple tank. Let the texture be the statement. It does not need competition.

Why it made the cut: Because early 2000s Fendi texture pieces are quietly coming back. The mix of pony hair, perforation and bold colour makes this one very of its time but still wearable if styled simply and perfect for coming spring/summer. It is super rare and specific which I love.
