Céline Crinkled Leather Triomphe Tote by Ivana Omazic — 2008

A beautifully understated Céline tote dating to around 2008, during Ivana Omazic’s tenure at the house. Crafted in deep petrol-blue leather, the bag has a softly structured silhouette, silver-tone hardware and Céline’s archival double-C Triomphe emblem at the front.

The design feels very characteristic of this pre-Phoebe period at Céline: polished but practical, with soft, crinkled leather, minimal branding and an everyday shape that doesn’t feel overly precious.

Condition
Very good pre-owned condition. The leather shows natural creasing, which gives it a beautifully relaxed finish. The structure remains good and the interior presents very cleanly. Please refer to the images for the full condition.

Styling
I’d treat the petrol blue almost like a neutral. With charcoal tailoring, washed denim, chocolate brown or a soft grey knit. The shape also works really well tucked under the arm rather than carried too formally.

Why it made the cut
I love Céline from this slightly overlooked period. It has the quiet, functional feel people associate with the house, but the unusual leather colour and archival Triomphe hardware give it much more character than a simple everyday tote.
