A Made-in-England Harrington in trench-beige with full House Check lining. Raglan sleeves, covered button placket, welt pockets and a ribbed hem give it that easy blouson shape—half bomber, half short mac. Very on trend silhouette: a neat, slightly boxy jacket that sits right at the hip and works with long skirts and wide trousers as well as denim.
Era: Late 1980s–early 1990s; Made in England
Material (shell): 51% cotton, 49% polyester (care label)
Lining: 50% cotton, 50% polyester (House Check)
Color: Classic trench beige with camel/black/red check lining
Condition: Good vintage. Scattered small stains/marks on sleeve/shoulder (not as visible as on the photos) remain after professional cleaning (see close-ups). Priced accordingly.
Size: No size tag present.
• Measured: Chest (pit-to-pit) 50 cm (≈100 cm around), Back length 66 cm.
• Best fit (women): S–M (EU 36–40) depending on desired slouch.
• Approx original men’s size: 38–40 (S–M).
Notes: Raglan sleeve; covered zipper front; button-tab cuffs; ribbed knit hem; interior buttoned pocket; Made in England; “Burberrys’” woven label (pre-rebrand)
Styling: Lean into the current blouson trend—try it with wide-leg tailoring or a long column skirt and loafers. Also great with vintage denim and a grey knit. Unisex; looks best slightly relaxed.
Why it made the cut: Iconic Burberrys’ build + the now proportion (short, rib-hem blouson). The marks didn’t scare us off—the piece is strong and the silhouette is exactly right.
